Hello,

My name is Kim and I just bought my first ID cape. I was so excited when it came. I sewed the Please Don't Pet Me Patch on both sides. I am so excited about the ID cape that I can't wait to order my Saddle Bag. The cape is a perfect fit and cleans really nice (easier than the dog).

Editor's Note: Larry sent us some wonderful photos of Takao& Tiki , a brother/sister pair of Shiba-inus, along with this letter which was written April 29, 1999.

Dear Paul,

Last summer when I was traveling to Minnesota to visit a friend, I stopped at a motel in Wisconsin where no pets were allowed. At that time I didn't have the cape, and it took quite a bit of convincing even with a certified letter to persuade the manager to let me and my dog stay. I had just moved into my motel room and was in the middle of getting settled when Takao jumped on me and led me to the door. When I opened the door, the manager was standing there to tell me that there was a tornado warning and we had to go to the basement of the restaurant across the parking lot. I guess the manager was convinced after this experience.

Since using the cape, it has made communication much easier in restaurants and motels as the cape is self explanatory and as a result my communication life is greatly simplified.

Subject: Great Service and Great Quality

I just want to thank you for the fast service sending Brandy her new ID Cape. I have already sewn on the Hearing Dog tabs. Brandy accepted the new cape whole heartedly and when I say "Do you want to go?", she nudges the new cape and tries to bring it to me.

I am very pleased with the workmanship and quality of the cape. I hope to order a second one in the near future to keep in my daughter's car for when she escorts me. I will gladly refer you to fellow hearing dog friends.

I would like to mention how wonderful the capes are. I am giving them as gifts to my service dog friends. The dogs deserve the comfort of your capes, especially in the heat of the summer. Maxine sure is more comfortable in your cape then the other cape she had.

I was only getting the patches which someone told me you carried, and I saw the ID Capes. I didn't know that they were available any place other then the organization I got Maxine from. Glad I looked and found them.

I have told people on the service dog list about your site. Hope they order also. Keep making these wonderful products.

Greetings from Nebraska,

We wanted to tell you that since we bought the ID Cape for Shadow, our hearing and reach assistance service dog, we've experienced zero discrimination out in public where before it was always a hassle, mainly because we don't have visible disabilities. Previously we've been put out of two businesses by the police, though we were quickly able to educate them, treated rudely in tons of other places, but we never filed a complaint, we did our best to educate them so others would not have to endure what we went through. But the great news is.... that's all stopped so far thanks to your wonderful product! We really do thank you so very much! The ID Cape was exactly what we were looking for, it could not have been more perfect. What a relief this has brought to us!

Subject: Amber's ID Cape

Linda,

We really love the vest, especially with the patches and the "Service Animal" embroidery we had done. Amber likes the fit of it, as well. Might I add that it is very professional looking and quite functional!

Amber knows when she's working, because she is in uniform. She also likes being off duty sometimes, so she can play. Her favorite play activities are swimming, diving, sailing, Frisbee, hide & seek, and tug of war!

Lastly, Amber loves children, and likes to mingle with the neighborhood kids. However, she is very defensive when she sees any violent acts. So when children are playing, and one of them gets rough, she growls and barks her displeasure. Her growl and bark are as deep and loud as an attack dog's, but she never bites, because she is afraid of hurting anyone.

As for the ID Cape, we love the fit and helps keep my Samoyed cool too especailly in the summer when he gets really hot. Many of my other service dog owning friends have brought from you too and are happy.

Dear Paul and Linda,

I am sending you a picture of Lil Dancer aka Cash. She is as you can see a hearing dog and a good one.

The Wolf Pack ID Cape is just what I needed. Not many people in this area are aware of any type of Service Dog other than Seeing Eye Dogs.

When I'm home and my wife wants me for any reason she tells Cash to "get papa", who will find me than run in a circle and bark very loud. When Cash and I are alone, she alerts me in this manner when the oven timer goes off, the toaster pops, the microwave dings. When someone walks up the front walk she will run to the front door and bark. Downtown Cash will let me know when shopping carts or bicycles are behind me.

Subject: Bearette's ID Cape

Hello,

I just wanted to let you know how pleased I've been with the ID Cape you sent for my search dog in training, Bearette. I had previously purchased a small size SAR vest from another company, but it was obviously designed for a large dog, with many big buckles and wide straps. It was a very poor fit for my little Schipperke, and almost completely covered her entire torso -- I was sure she would roast in the summer!

When I found the ID Cape on your website and ordered the XSmall, I had such high hopes that it would just the thing for her -- and it is! It's lightweight, fits her very well, and covers a minimal amount of her body. And she looks terrific in it, too!
