Backpack by Carolyn Canizaro, USA Date: Mon, Aug 3 1998 11:00 AM I just wanted to let you know the backpack I ordered for Sera, my border collie, has arrived and is a great fit! She's had three test runs so far, the last with some gear, and acts like it's not even there! I'll try and take some good pictures of Sera hiking the Rockies and forward them on to you if any look good! Thanks again for your help. Carolyn Canizaro and Sera Date: Sun, 23 Jan 2000 12:03:47 -0500 Hi Linda: I know it's been awhile since you've heard from me and my trail running Bouviers. Yes, all is well and we are still running. Zappa is semi-retired as he has developed some tendonitis in is back leg. OD has turned into a fine trail dog, who just keeps on going and going ....... I must report that we have have gotten great use out of the two packs that you made for Zappa about 4 years ago. OD has taken to wearing either of the packs. Recently he helped my sons deliver 2500 calendars and Christmas cards for a local real estate office. They loaded up their school backpacks and OD's dog packs and off they went. You should have seen OD go. Truly a working class hero. Brian Frank, Canada Date: Thu, 16 Jan 1997 14:25:58
Dear Linda, Once again I am sending you some photographs of our collies Dandy and Flame carrying their Wolf Packs Reflector packs, again taken in northern Austria's Waldviertel. The pictures prove that your packs don't hinder the two collies playing, even when fully loaded! One photo shows clearly the effectiveness of the Scotchlite reflective tape in dawn. I hope you like the pictures as much as we like the dog packs! Please be so kind and send us another catalogue, for we gifted ours to a pet vet interested in your products, maybe you will even receive an order from her. Greetings, Date: Wed, 27 May 2003 I purchased a Wolf Pack for my first dog, and it is the greatest! She enjoys pushing her way through brush and her Wolf Pack STAYS PUT and DOESN'T GET CAUGHT on anything! I borrowed a different type of pack for my second dog, and when he follows her through the brush he's either getting caught-up, or tearing the velcro-attached pack right off the pad! Plus, they can both go into water up to their bellies and the Wolf Pack STAYS DRY! Not so with lower-hanging packs. Thanks for a great product! Natalie Houghtaling Bree's Reflector™ Dog Pack
Dear Wolf Packs, Thought you might enjoy having a picture of Bree sporting her new Wolf Pack. Bree is a Bernese Mountain Dog who loves to clown around. She weighs about 75 pounds and is almost 2˝ years old. Bree took to her pack immediately. She's been wearing it for about five months. I'm delighted that she can start carrying gear, and she's delighted to be of service. The pack does not restrict her movements in any way. When Bree sees the pack she smiles and her tail starts wagging. She knows it's time for outdoor fun! Thanks so much for designing a dog pack that is comfortable and functional. Kindest regards, Nancy Ives & Bree Date: Thu, 11 Dec 1997 23:14:42 +1100

Expedition Samoyeds is pretty rough on our equipment. We are out through the four seasons, not just winter or summer. We have been using Wolf Packs as a regular outfitter because of the durability of their products. The packs fit well on the Samoyeds and have a large volume capacity. We used to go through boots regularly due to wear and tear, but since we switched to Wolf Packs boots, we lose them before they wear out. I can't say enough for their equipment. Since their own dogs use Wolf Packs products, each product is fine tuned through direct experience. Gregory Newell - Expedition Samoyeds Expedition Samoyeds

Date: Wed, 27 May 1998 075634 PDT I start off by putting the packs on the dogs empty so that they get used to them. Then I start adding weight until we get up to a couple of liters of water, some food, water bowl, boots, bag balm, something to pick up poop. This may seem like a lot, but the dog can carry up to 25% of their body weight. I don't usually push it beyond 10 pounds for long distances. Have you checked out the Wolf Packs web site? It has a sizing chart. For a 55 pound dog, I think a Medium should work. I use smalls on my girls, but they are about 45 pounds. I use the Reflector packs because I like the idea of that broad reflective strip on the pack for visibility. One big reason I like Wolf Packs' stuff is simplicity of design. Also, they live on the Pacific Crest Trail and actually use their stuff, so it's trial tested gear. I beat my stuff (actually the dogs do) pretty hard and it holds up. Dear Linda, Just thought you might want to see how great your Wolf Pack is doing here in the Philippines. We took Neisha on a jungle tour in Subic (where the US bases used to be here in the Philippines) and we had her carry our drinking water, camera, and snacks. In the attached picture, we forgot that the pack wasn't waterproof, and it was too late when we discovered that the camera was still in there. Good thing someone else had a camera to take this priceless shot. Thanks, Gilbert, Sharlene & Neisha Rudy's Five Year Old Reflector™
Thanks so much for making a great product. Over the years I have backpacked in all seasons and have been able to find out what really works and what doesn't. It's been enjoyable but kind of expensive finding the best gear. My dog Rudy was fortunate enough to get his Wolf Pack as his first pack. I've seen numerous other dogs in the Sierra with hanging, binding, overloaded, painful looking packs. Rudy is always so happy to put his on and hike for miles, rock hop, cross streams and at night fall asleep with it on if I don't remove it. On the one hand it's been an incredible pack. On the other hand I wish it would wear out so we can get him a new one! Thanks again Linda. Happy Trails! Sincerely, Mark
