Maverick & Percy
Both of Mickey Marti's active Search and Rescue dogs wear a Red ID
Cape under their tracking harnesses. These dogs are part of the MIMAR
Search Dog team.
Maverick is the German Shepherd pictured to the left,
wearing his Large ID Cape. Although we do not produce harnesses, this item
appears to be very functional when combined with our capes. Mickey says,
"These ID Capes fit perfectly with a Search Dog harness. They absolutely
are non-restraining and the back & front straps do not interfere with the
harness. It stays well in place, even on long tracks through fields & brush,
and is lightweight although the material is very sturdy."
Percy, a Bloodhound, also wears his ID Cape (size XLarge)
beneath his tracking harness. He is a very large dog, and takes a size
XLarge. Mickey had their capes embroidered with the words "SEARCH
DOG" and the large white cross.
