Elmo on his First Backpacking Trip
Here is
Elmo, an
Airedale Terrier owned by Bob and Ruth Whitefield, on his very first
backpack trip. He is wearing a Forest Green Trekker™ pack for the
adventure in Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina.
Bob & Ruth say, "Elmo hiked about twenty miles through
the Shining Rock Wilderness area with us, including day trips to the summit of Cold
Mountain (title of a most excellent novel by Charles Frazier) and Shining Rock.
Elmo quickly adapted to his new Trekker pack, carrying all his gear (and
Ruth's growing rock collection). Elmo is eager to go backpacking again, and recommends
Wolf Packs to all his friends."
