Stan Glaser enjoy an adventure in the snow with Kirby, their 6 year old Golden
Retriever. He is wearing a set of Red Summer Pad Protectors to keep snow from
packing between his toes.
Mary built a mound of snow to hold the camera, and laid down to see through the view finder. Anyone who has ever taken self-timed photos of themselves with their dogs can appreciate the feat of managing it in winter conditions.
This photo was taken at Vincent Gap, a few miles west of Wrightwood, CA. Mt. Baldy , the highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains, is nearby. Mt. Baldy is often seen during the New Year's Day Rose Parade as the distant mountain glimmering with snow.
